Our friend Tim made his return to Hill City Warriors with his 2005 Triumph America, and naturally, we figured we'd spend the day doing something simple.
You know how that usually goes.
The mission started with replacing the stock headlight with a nice LED style setup. Sounds easy, right? Remove the old one, install the new one, connect a few wires, and ride off into the sunset.
Apparently, the Triumph had other plans.
What looked like a straightforward headlight swap turned into a lesson in patience, creativity, and the fine art of asking, “Who designed this thing?” After some head scratching and a little shop-level engineering, we finally got the new LED installed and looking sharp.
Then it was time for the front brake rotor.
That job required getting the bike up in the air enough to clear the front tire, removing the caliper and wheel, swapping the rotor, and then putting everything back together. Tim got some hands-on experience along the way, because around here we don't just fix bikes for people. We show you how to fix your own bike.
Once everything was buttoned back up, we gave the brakes a thorough check, made sure nothing was trying to escape, and took the Triumph out for a test ride.
Everything worked.
Nothing fell off.
That's what we call a successful day at Hill City Warriors.
Good bikes, good friends, a few mechanical challenges, and plenty of conversation. That's what the shop is all about.
Welcome back, Tim. It was good having you and that Triumph back in the shop!
