A New Friend, an Old Harley, and a Whole Lot of Good Conversation

Every now and then, someone rolls through the doors of Hill City Warriors looking for a little help with their motorcycle and ends up leaving as something more than just a customer. They become part of the growing circle of friends that makes this place what it is.

That’s exactly what happened when Jacob brought his 2001 Harley-Davidson Night Train into the shop.

Jacob is also getting ready to take on a brand-new adventure of his own: he’s soon to be a dad. So naturally, between working on the Harley, there was plenty of conversation about motorcycles, riding stories, and the joys and challenges that come with getting ready for fatherhood.

On the Night Train, we tracked down a switch issue that was causing problems with the lights and horn. We also checked the voltage regulator to make sure the charging system was doing what it should. Once we had that sorted out, we added a sissy bar to finish things off and give the bike a little more functionality.

But honestly, the work on the bike was only part of the day.

There was plenty of shop talk, plenty of laughs, and more than a few stories about motorcycles, riding adventures, and the experiences that only other riders seem to understand. Somewhere between turning wrenches and talking about the road, a new friendship started taking shape.

That’s one of the things we love most about Hill City Warriors.

Yes, we work on motorcycles. Yes, we chase down electrical gremlins, install parts, diagnose problems, and help riders learn more about their own bikes. But the real value of the shop has always been the people who walk through the door.

Sometimes you come in with a motorcycle problem and leave with a solution.

Sometimes you come in as a stranger and leave as a friend.

Jacob, congratulations on the next chapter ahead. We’re glad you found your way to Hill City Warriors, and we’re looking forward to seeing you, the Night Train, and eventually that future little rider back around the shop.
